A skilled guitarist because he can play extended solos and knows more tricks.

I don't think you can be a good creative guitarist without also having skill. However, I would prefer someone who is less skilled and more creative.
For example, I knew two guitarists and one of them could play really fast and crazy stuff, while the other wasn't so fast but used a lot of interesting scales and was always fun to listen to. I definitely preferred the more interesting player.

I think to be a creative guitarist, you need to be better than most skilled guitarists.
Jimmy Page was and still is one of the best that ever was. Not only because he could play a mean guitar, he changed the way music was recorded in studio and played on stage. Many of the techniques, recording studio's use today, he experimented on. And who else plays a guitar with a violin bow?
Skill is one thing. But having the skill to know what will work that's way outside the box is quite another.

Actually, I wish I could become a guitarist period flat. Two reasons I can't: 1. I can't seem to stretch my fingers far enough and 2. I can't stand clipping my nails short. My brother laughs at me....
If I could be a guitarist, I would blend both skill and creativity.

No one. I don't want to hire a guitarist for a party/ festival, will not marry one and am not planning to date one. If I had to advise you, the skilled one. I have personal experience about how a " "creative" " guitarist could play

good question and a tough one to answer. A skilled guitarist- or any musician- is a joy to watch and learn from. Like Andre Segovia. But, a creative guitarist is also amazing to watch- like keith urban.
