What exactally do they put in the cotton where you are from?
Around here it's just bleached cotton. The plastic stick burning may kill a few brain cells though....

No. There are no chemicals in it because it is mainly used to clean ears. But I don't think you should cut it in half, burn it, Then suck it while it is on fire.
