This I Leave For You
Written by Semper Fi 83 9/8/07

God knows I tried,
To be an example to all I know.
But there comes a time in life,
When we must just let go.
There are those out there,
That wish to hurt and confuse.
I guess I'm fed up now,
And tired of the abuse.

It's time to step back now,
For some just won't recieve.
I will not give up hope,
For those who don't believe.
There is a purpose in life,
That God wants me to complete.
And with negativity,
I just cannot compete.
It's such an honor,
That many gave me a chance.
As the music fades,
We all must end the dance

It is truly a Blessing how God has sent you all to my side. You have soothed my wounds so very spiritually. I am praying for each one of you servants of Goodness. Thank You, and i will pray for guidance from the Lord as to what I must do and what path I must travel.

Semper,

Don't you dare give up the good fight,
You know, that it is your right.
We need you to be the light,
for soon it will be night.
If you leave, I will be very sad,
cause you are my favorite Lad.

Stay with us, God Bless You.

It's a beautiful poem. I hope you are not thinking of leaving us.
Why don't you just take a few days or a week from R&S? I have to do that sometimes. It's meant to be a place where you can exchange opinions and lift one another up but sometimes hate and filth spews forth and it drags me down.
Don't let them win. Remember your motto:
Always Faithful. You have been that and more.
Brother SF, you are the glue that helps hold this site together.

You make us laugh. Cry. Look deep within ourselves for answers to your serious questions, and above all you show and share your love of God. You are an inspiration.

If you must go then hold your head high my friend
for you have done well. Always, sister gabey

Consider the name under which you post and respond to questions. Always faithful! Dirt bag, you need to drop and give me 50!! You haven't a clue as to your positive contribution on these pages and are reacting only to the negative. Suck in that gut and stick out that chest my man, you are not only a Marine, you are God's warrior! If He has called you elsewhere, that's one thing, but if you're leaving YA because of abuse, that's another. I trust the reason is the former and pray for you the very best that life has to offer. As I told you in my response to another of your questions, you helped me realize the pettiness of non-constructive responses. You have helped others as well. Oh yeah, I didn't get in on your question regarding envisioning how people sound when they ask a question or submit a response, but I've kind of thought you might sound a little like Daffy duck. I've been told I sound like Donald duck - the white one. (just kidding big guy)

Semper Fi 83,

You know how I feel. I wish you would stay. take a break if that's what you need, but don't make it a permanent decision to leave. God gives you no more than you can handle. This "negativity" is merely testing your faith to make it stronger. Take some time, please think about it. I want you to stay. A "newbie" like me can always use good advice from an established "veteran" like yourself. Please reconsider.

God Bless you and all who respond in this forum. In the name of Jesus Christ, My Lord, I pray. Amen

With love and affection, Marianne

That was right on, it said it all. There is definitely a battle to fight but God put no more on you then you can bare. You can't change the opinion of many but it only takes a few to share in his word. When two or more are gather in his name it's enough. Continue to lead by example and maybe even those who condemn you will be a wittiness.

Judges 20:27b ...The people asked the LORD, "Should we go out to fight our brothers the Benjaminites again, or should we give up?" The LORD answered, "Fight. Tomorrow I will give you victory over them."

John 6:61-63 Without being told, Jesus knew that they were grumbling about this, so he said to them, "Does this make you want to give up?
Suppose, then, that you should see the Son of Man go back up to the place where he was before?
What gives life is God's Spirit; human power is of no use at all. The words I have spoken to you bring God's life-giving Spirit.

Acts18:9 One night Paul had a vision in which the Lord said to him, "Do not be afraid, but keep on speaking and do not give up,

2nd Corinthains 2:7 Now, however, you should forgive him and encourage him, in order to keep him from becoming so sad as to give up completely.

Galatians 6:9 So let us not become tired of doing good; for if we do not give up, the time will come when we will reap the harvest.

Ephesians 6:18 Do all this in prayer, asking for God's help. Pray on every occasion, as the Spirit leads. For this reason keep alert and never give up; pray always for all God's people.

Hebrews 12:2-3 Let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, on whom our faith depends from beginning to end. He did not give up because of the cross! On the contrary, because of the joy that was waiting for him, he thought nothing of the disgrace of dying on the cross, and he is now seated at the right side of God's throne. Think of what He went through; how he put up with so much hatred from sinners! So do not let yourselves become discouraged and give up.

Precious... we all need our Sabbaticals to recharge and refresh - but your poem reads as a "farewell", not as a "see you later."

I learned a long time ago to pick my battles... often I have to slip away for a time to center myself. I often seek ways to bring edification to my fellow Christians, when I am battle weary from all the rest.

If you need a rest - then rest in the Lord and we look forward to your return... But if your intent is to retire from participation... I would beg you not to go.

Peace.

Oh man of God, be blessed and encouraged. May Gods favor rest on you and may I be the blessing to others you have been to me.
Don't stay gone too long. I hope you may just be needing a break.
You have my e mail address. You are needed.
