Of course it's true.
There are so many things that could be classified as "crises" that it's hard to know where to begin. Take the coal mine collapse in Utah as an example. It's a terrible thing, but it does give the mining industry the opportunity to examine its practices to see if another - possibly worse - accident can be avoided.

I agree because with each crisis it opens up a new direction. A new choice. The opportunity is change. However, some people choose to either do nothing or the same thing they've been doing all their lives.
Lose a job: choices 1) do something new 2) do the same thing 3) do nothing

It's rather vague in that the terms are not defined, but it feels good...all warm and fuzzy to imagine that there's a greater purpose in the bad thing or crisis that is happening.
It's important to note that the reason for a crisis is not to provide an opportunity. ie; God or the universe or fate or whoever you believe in does not inflict crises upon us in order to grant us opportunities. Rather, it's a matter of perspective and the intention of a quote like this is to remind yourself or someone else that something good can come out of something bad if you choose to learn from it and/or take that perspective.

Every event in our lives is an opportunity for learning. This is true even if the common event is not a crisis. So, yes, crisis is also an opportunity, usually for personal growth.

Usually true :) It is usually healthier to interpret an unresolved conflict or disruption of equillibrium as an "opportunity" than as a "crisis" :) An encounter with a hungry lion is arguably more of a "crisis" and less of an "opportunity" than a job interview :)

For the saints and persons on the path of self realization they take all things as an opportunity to take shelter of God and realize their eternal relationship with Him.
We are not this material body, IE; Race, color, nationality, Religion, mind, intellect, senses, job, etc. We are all eternal spirit souls, part and parcel of the Supreme Soul, also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, etc. We never die, only this mortal body dies. We have to realize that so called good and bad things are happening to us due to past karma. We don't have control over most of these things happening to us be we can control how we respond to them.
This material world is not our real home, it is called Maya (illusion) and is temporary and full of misery, only one fourth of the souls come here, and the rest are enjoying blissful eternal loving relationships with our Maker named above. Those who are intelligent, take up the process of self realization (Bhakti Yoga) which gives one real peace, happiness and reality. Then at the end of life they can return to the eternal Kingdom where there is no more birth, death, old age, or disease and be eternally happy.

Overall yes. Every "crisis" has an at least one or more opportunites.
However, a crisis can only exist because we have constructed reality this way in our thinking.
