I'm sorry, but I think this is just the ultimate in greed... a net worth of $11.6 million and you're spending $10 a week on lottery tickets? And then he actually takes the time and trouble to mail in losing tickets for a second-chance drawing?! Come on!

The only ones who always win at lottery are the people who run lotteries. The ones who play all have the same chance to win the 50% (of what's spent on tickets) that make up the prizes. If someone wants to play, let them.
By the way, some refer to a lottery as a tax on people who can't do math.

Who cares? At least he can afford to buy lottery tickets, unlike too many of the people who buy them every week. Too many people play the lottery hoping to strike it rich when they'd be better off socking away that $10 a week in some kind of savings plan. You've got a better chance of being struck by lightning than winning big in the lottery.

He bought the tickets and apparently won on three occasions. I don't see what his net worth before winning has to do with it. I don't look down on the wealthy man or woman who plays at the high-stakes baccarat tables where I live either. I also can't recall any state which sells lottery tickets that requires someone show their food stamp receipt or social service registration card in order to buy a ticket.

They can afford it and much better than spending the babys shoe money on a ticket. Or foregoing a loaf of bread for a ticket.

Pretty greedy guy? I don't think in this case that lightning will strike twice. Better to invest his money is something else.
