Why do hunters KILL animals?

I love animals and don't understand why we eat or kill them for there skin.Im so freaked out all I want is bacon,sausages and eggs.H-E-L-P!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The biggest reason that hunting is allowed is because it is necessary.

In our sordid past we had the great idea to kill off the carnivores and other natural predators so now we are constantly fighting against overpopulation. If an animal population becomes too great they may run out of food and slowly starve to death or with greater population density comes easier disease transmission. So now what predators used to do naturally we now must do artifically.

I like bacon, sausages and eggs, too. Having grown up around a hunter (my father) I can tell you the kill was about two things: fresh meat and sport. The fresh meat was good, especially the way he cooked it. I particularly liked the backstrap filets wrapped in bacon and grilled. My father was an excellent cook.
As a hunter, my father aimed for a clean shot and a quick kill. Then he cleaned and processed the deer himself but if he wanted sausage, he'd pay to have someone better qualified to make the best deer sausage I ever tasted.
Seems to me that people were born to be omnivorous, being both hunters and gatherers by nature. So I am not against hunting. I figure if animals are slaughtered for food, it makes more sense to me that their hides would be sold to places that could cure and tan them to be made into leather goods, like furniture covers, car seats, shoes, purses, wallets, clothes, etc. Then there is maximum useage of the animal and it didn't die just for trophy purposes. My father wasn't a trophy hunter though he did have the head of an eighteen point buck mounted.
I guess that is mostly a "man" thing.
When it comes to domesticated animals, I can't figure out why people hurt them. Dogs, Cats and Horses, I can't fathom them being slaughtered for food or other uses. I know it isn't the same in other cultures, though. When I was in Germany and in France, there were butcher shops that just sold meat from horses.

I am from Alabama, so there is alot of hunting down here.I do not hunt. I do not believe in hunting for sport.That to me is cruelty.But Hunters that hunt for the meat ,I can understand.If there was no hunters,we would be over populated.Many states have certain days that Ur allowed to hunt Not just buck but does.I myself can not look into a animals eyes of any kind and pull a trigger.But as I said I do eat meat.And when My brother in law shoots a deer in hunting season ,we do half the meat and pay for the dressing of that animal.Id never kill any thing for sport.But if hunting was not allowed,everything from squirrels to pheasant and deer,moose,bears,etc would die from the lack of food on there end.Its sad yes.I do not eat red meat, I do not eat pork,I do eat chicken and fish.I use to be vegetarian..I do not eat eggs, But I do cook with them...And there is alternatives to bacon and eggs.Soy bean meat is not as good,But it is a alternative to bacon ,sausage,hamburger,etc.

This is the UK....hunters do not kill animals. The animals are taken to abattoirs. I like bacon,sausage also.

Think about it, if we didn't hunt animals, their over population would cause starvation and they would die slowly.

It happens naturally in the wild with blizzards and droughts. I think its much more humane to hunt than let them starve.
