What size lettering should I use in word to print out pages with the words being the size they are in novels?

I want to see how much I have written already in terms of a novel. Also, how many words (in that size) makes a page in an average novel?

The way you do that is by counting words. Industry standard is based on 250 words per page. The average length of a novel is around 90- 140 thousand words. Best advice - stop worrying about words. When you are done telling your story, that is how long your book is. And remember that length will change with editing anyway. Pax- C

I think about 12 or 11... depending on what font you use. For most serif fonts, either of those is okay. Be sure to also have the leading set at about 0.25 sp between each line. But remember, it's quality, not quantity, so don't worry about not writing 'enough'.
