Its your hatred of anyone that makes you a raciest, actuallly I think the word is overrated, everyone is intitled to their own opinion of other people, I myself rate people as to their attitude not their ethnic background. N.... is not a race its an attitude, you know what I mean, don't act like you don't their are all different races with the Attitude that makes them that way. .............##########

If someone is sure that all people of a certain race or religion are all the same, I think that's a prejudice.
I've had kids visiting my house say to my daughter, "You can afford to give me that coloring book because white people can afford to buy new ones." WTF????? Both my husband and I work like crazy to afford what we have, and we seldom have money to spend frivolously.
If someone said, "I can't have you visiting my house because all black people steal." ....everyone would have a fit because that is blatantly racist. ....and so was what those kids said when they said what they did to my daughter.
As my daughter was growing up, we would point out someone by referring to what the person was wearing ...NOT what color, etc they were. For example, if I wanted to point out how pretty some other little girl's hair was, I'd say, "Look at the little girl in the yellow shirt. Isn't her hair cute!" ...it may have been a kid of a different color, but what did that matter? Pointing out any difference(s) in color, etc. would encourage her to think of others as not being on the same level as herself.
What a shame. I'm the 7th of 12 kids, and none of us are truly alike. I will not let the poor behavior of others influence whether or not I act like a jerk/racist. I cannot control what anyone else does/says, but I am in control of what I do/say.

I know I am not a racist, but I am also aware that I have a few prejudices. My prejudices are probably a little too much for the average politically correct person, but I honestly don't give a crap. I know which groups I dislike and I am not ashamed of it.

lets be real for a second people, why can't everyone realize that we are all at some level racist? I mean seriously, look deep and theres gonna be some preconceived notion about another individual when you first meet him/ her, good or bad. those of you who will respond by saying "im not racist at all, I'm enlightened and why not is full of Sh!t", need to get in touch with your true self. I'm not talking about the shell you put on for the world to see but your "Id" if you will. Just because we posses this very human trait doesn't mean we have act on it at all. Lets just realize racism is there and move past it.

If you cross the street when you see someone whom looks threatening particularly those put in certain categorties. But it may not necessarily mean you are a racist. Me personally I am black and proud but I have judged whites and blacks based on outward appearance and on what kind of black or white they are. I am TOTALLY not a racist but I have had a gun pulled on me by a black guy that looked like a thug. and my brother was murdered by a southern white guy that looked like those racist that are depicted in those southern movies like "a time to kill." I think our guards go up when we see certain people. It's a sad truth but you are only a racist if you hate those people for appearing the way they do.

If you automatically think negative thoughts about somebody (or a group of people) based on their skin color, without really getting to know them as people (not just a skin color), then you might be racist. You might also be racist if you believe all the racial stereotypes out there.

If you know the meaning of the word racism, then you are
definitely racist.
PS
everyone is racist to a certain extent, it is how we are programed in order to survive, only an hypocrite will tell you the opposite, being hypocrite is worst than being racist.
unfortunately there are to many hypocrites in the world
fair well

One of the ways you can tell is if you can't just refer to the person as normal. Say your telling a story and you have to say "so today this black guy..." Why can't you just say "this guy" Or if your always making racist jokes and actually find them funny, when they're really demeaning.

guess what? everyone is racist on one level or another. There is not one person who does not share the same character defects as the ones who blatantly have them.
