I am looking at purchasing one of two houses, one with a garage and one without. I like the house better without the garage and can get it for cheaper so I am wondering if I could build a garage. There is back alley access and a detatched garage would suit us fine. Including labour and concrete floor etc what is the general cost of building a basic garage?

Depending on the area of the country you live in, a standard 2 car garage kit from Home Depot type store is about 2500.00 plus labor to build 1-2000.00 plus the slab and apron 2-3000.00 plus wiring 4-500.00

16k for a decent built garage. Theres cheaper and more expensive but i think 12-16 is about right
