Was Reagan a cut and run coward. Or was he as I believe a in posession of a rational intelligent foreign policy. It was terrorists that blew up the marine barracks. It was a suicide bomber.

Our mission, if we ever had one, in Iraq is over. Iraq is in compliance with the UN resolutions, never had any weapons of mass destruction and Saddam Hussein has been eliminated by us. Those were the stated goals and they have a government that is 3 years old, much older than ours was when we struck out on our own. We have pumped BILLIONS into the Iraq government and most is stolen.

The Iraqi's are never going to settle their differences while we are there, nor is there any compelling reason for them to as long as the US-backed and Iraqi hated Molokai government is in power. That situation has not gotten better and we have succeeded in getting some of the militia's to move out of the capital city, however we have accomplished little else.

You still cannot walk down the streets in Baghdad with any safety, the deaths in Baghdad are the same they were a year ago and the deaths outside of the city have doubled. The death rate of our military and "allies" is going up, 17 in 3 days (7 on the 6th, 6 on the 5th and 4 on the 4th of September) and have had 4,058 body bags delivered from Iraq to their loved ones along with 133 suicides, 99 in the past year!

Reagan was a cut and runner, and a war criminal (Convicted)! He was selling missiles to Iran, the government that backed the killing of 242 Marines in 1988 in Lebanon. Reagan attacked another country illegally and for that was convicted of war crimes! He should have been impeached for Iran/Contra! Reagan was a coward! Just like Bush is one for weaseling out of Vietnam!

The only 2 presidents I know who cut and ran were Reagan and Nixon, both Republicans! Eisenhower and Nixon are the ones who got us into Vietnam, and our actions, backing French colonialism and cutting off supplies to Ho chi Minh that we had been giving him is the DIRECT reason that Vietnam was divided.

There is only one reason we are in Iraq, and Exxon picks up 4 million barrels of it a month in Iraq. That hasn't helped us any as gas was $1.64 a gallon when Bush was elected 7 years ago. Oil is the only "asset" I know of in Iraq.

Whatever fallout we deserve. Our country is less secure by taking out a tin-pot dictator and destabalizing the region, knowing full well that we would start a civil war, something that George Bush's father warned us about in the 1990's! AND we attacked Iraq WITH THE FULL KNOWLEDGE (at least Bush and his cronies) THAT IRAQ HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH TERRORIST OR 9/11!

Why are we in Iraq? What are we killing and being killed over? Corporations have been on welfare with Bush pushing money at them faster than they can spend it! That is not a reason to be in Iraq. And neither is oil! Time to go.

Time to do something for our troops than to them. They are not going to take much more in Iraq. Many are on their 3rd tour and most of them already have PTSD! You are asking for trouble!

And Ron Paul has as much chance of getting elected as I have of hitting power ball! We DON'T WANT ANOTHER REPUBLICAN!!!

This question is one of the best slaps someone could give to Huckabee. It also justifies Ron Paul's idea of pulling out of Iraq. Very intelligent of you.

I really agree with what Ron Paul said regarding this issue. I agree with him greatly, and I wish if he were to lead this country. He's our only true hope.

Ron Paul for president.

rational intelligent foreign policy

get out of iraq is a bad move in my view thou

Why? My fear is Iran takes over Iraq and becomes too powerful. Just think that Israel would retaliate and that would plunge the region into war.

I think my fear is shared by a lot.

The greatest folly of any leader is not knowing when to quit, that is what made Reagen great, and George bush well, less than mediocre, eventually everybody will wise up, the sooner the better...
