A person can define him or herself until they're blue in the face, but it's meaningless relative to how other people view you. So you're not defined by how you perceive yourself, but by how others perceive you -- a perception that is gained mostly through your actions. For example: Jeffery Dahmer can say "I'm a nice, sweet guy," and legitimately feel that way about himself, but his actions spoke differently about who he was, and few would ever consider him a nice, sweet guy. His actions will go down in history; his feelings about who he was... meaningless.

i think it means that what you feel inside, the things you believe in.. would not matter unless you put those thoughts, ideas, feelings into action.. therefore it's what you do that defines you, because your actions are what really shows how you live your life

Its like saying actions speak louder than words in a way. you can sound like a nice person, but if you act like a *****, then people will automatically think of you as one.

i think it means that its what Defines you like what stuff you like.
for EX what defines me would be that im in love with mcr, linkin park, and Taking back sunday. ill choose to die instead of having one of my friends die.
i would jump infront of a bullite for someone i just met.
i would absolutly DIE to have mcr take me and my friend to the tick tock diner.
those are the things that define me. think of stuff that defines you.
