Parking at employer site is inadequate. Employer has arranged for valet service to park employees' and customers' cars at a nearby site. Can employer force employees to use the valet service? No other alternative has been offered the employees aside from the workers parking the cars at the new location themselves and finding their own way back to work. By the way, the new parking location is a bit less than 2 blocks away, and one would have to walk on a busy street to get to work (no sidewalk).

The job already has its own parking lot, which employees park in. They are implementing the valet service due to INADEQUATE parking spaces. Employees are now being forced out of the parking lot PERIOD.

In most cases, the employer is NOT required to provide any arrangements for parking. Because you have the option NOT to use the valet service, you are NOT forced to use it. I park 3 blocks from work because that is the closest parking that exists.

I don't think it is the employers responsibility to offer you any parking at all. It is nice of them to offer valet because how you get to work and what you do with your car is really not their problem.

Why would you not want to use the valet service. Is the company picking up the tab for this service? A company cannot force you to do anything, but it seems to be it would be pretty convenient.

your employer can't force you to do anything. You are free to do what you will, but your employer is also free to fire you for any reason, or for no reason at all.
