Yes, a positive attitude can accomplish more than we believe.

When I taught sixth grade, my students sort of posed this same question to me. It was last in the school year and was quite warm in our room. I asked my students to clear their minds (those that had any LOL) and concentrate on being cool or things that are cool/cold. I did also and shortly began to feel cooler and so did a lot of my students.

I also would focus my brain (mind) on getting a parking place close to where I was going. That worked also.

I told my students about this and some of them mentioned this to their parents. The parents tried it and they were amazed that it worked at a high percentage of attempts.

I learned this from a series of tapes my principal gave me about the power of mind over matter. Wish I could remember the name of the series. I was amazed at what the power of the brain has over matter.

So, with that in mind, I agree that the brain does have healing power but you must really believe in what you are doing. It's a lot like faith.

YES,medicine only helps us heal ourselves. do not stop going to the doc. but your attitude and desires make a big dif when the healing process is needed.
