My laptop's rechargable battery is lasting about 1/6 as long as it used to, and I was wondering if anyone has heard of a way to "revive" it.

Time for a new battery.

Not likely. That condition is usually caused by constant charging of the battery. It will last a lot longer if you remove the battery when using ac for an extended period. Charge to the max and remove. Some good reading:http://www.prioritylaptopbattery.com/faq.htm#dead

Any rechargable battery gets to the point where it has less and less capacity. Some of the newer battery technologies reduce this effect but it seems consistent. Eventually, you have to replace them.

i know the apple store sells a program that helps keep your battery life healthy...but that only helps if you have a mac :)

you can also just make the screen more dim and avoid running multiple programs at a time and that will help a little...

hope this helps!

use it till it dies, then charge it full, then use it till it dies again, charge it full, I also read somewhere about freezing it for a day, google it..
