Now you need the big guns. Head to the discounters, in the laundry aisle look for InkAway, Carbona or Mostenbockers. They all make liquid formulations for ink removal and take it off instantly.

You can use wd-40 or goo be gone, but I got ink off our porcelin wash tub by using the same thing I use to remove it from clothes: hairspray.

I am assuming that it is ball point pen ink though and not a felt tip marker.

Just make sure that whatever you use, you don't scratch the enamel because otherwise you risk the underlying metal to be exposed and for rust to set in.

Finger nail polish remover... This has happened to me before, and that worked really well. just make sure to wipe it down really well after you get the ink out.

Goof Off 2 you get it at Lowes type stores. The label which i am reading says"" removes dried latex paint, grease, oil, ink, grime, scuff marks.......""

Apparently there is a goof off 1 for oil based paint.

simply spray hairspray on any ink and it immediately is removed...you will need to wipe up the residue.
