And wouldn't it be a good idea to put the children of America to work in factories?

Children are good workers. They are easy to boss around and will believe that they can be punished for the slightest infractions.

This is the kind of workforce that will return us to greatness!!

LOL thats great. Wasnt this country built on child labor. I had read that the very first factory had children as among the first workers. You are always so clear in your vision.

Um, are you serious here? You haven't given any indication of whether you are serious about your comments or you are satirizing the article.

It seems to me that this is about corporate greed and the big corporations that own the media (in a lot of cases) making the case for their business buddies so they can get cheap labor from kids. It's disgusting.

I think a case can be made for "kids" to start working during their early teenage years (it should also come down to their choice alone, perhaps in consultation with adults who care about them), but all children should be given the opportunity for an education so they can get a better job and higher wages.

If this happens and kids as young as six can work for paltry wages, that is slave labor and wage slavery at its worst. It also denies humans dignity and an opportunity for a decent education. They should at least be literate and numerate before starting work.

Of course not.
However, there is a "price" for everything.
There is a reason that the clothes you purchase in Walmart are super cheap.
