I heard that Bush was doing everything in his power to change the length of his term. He wants to do another 4 years. Do you think this can happen?

Six and a half years of Bushco has made me so paranoid that I believe the neo cons will construct a crisis in order to suspend/delay the 2008 election.

Go read the Constitution and you will see that it is so hard to amend that there isn't enough time left for Bush to have the necessary change made even if he wanted to and there was enough support for it. Stop believing the evil lies being told by hateful people who will say anything to try to make Bush look bad. Whoever told you Bush is trying to extend his Presidency is either a fool or purely evil, and possibly both.

This is pure facy. GW Bush will be quite happy to get out of Washington when his term is up. All of the stories about Bush declaring Martial Law ro anything else to extend his sway over the U.S. government is pure fantasy.

Where did you get this conspiracy theory. No major news network or paper has covered this and this would be the biggest news of the day if it was true. All comments from the president, vice president and first lady talk about their return to their homes out west. Your conspiracy theory to bring up more hate to the republicans and conservatives is a joke with no fact as usual from the loony left you belong to.

We heard silly rumors of the same BS when Slick Willie was done with Monica. No it will not happen. Slick Willie wanted to change our National Anthem to that country hit "That's my story and I'm stickin to it". May have been appropriate but it didn't happen.

A lot of people think he'll try to do that. He issued an executive order allowing himself to take over the entire government in the case of 'emergency' and he's the one who gets to decide if it's an emergency, and some people think he'll pull an 'emergency' at the end of his term.
I don't think it's legal, but that won't stop him, it never did before. But also I don't think he could get away with it.
Also at this point, every day Bush stays in office damages the Republican Party a little more. Most of them can't wait until he's gone. I think this is one reason the 2008 election is heating up so prematurely.

If he declares martial law, there is a danger he may.
I am wondering if we can count on a fair and free election in 2008. His handlers are willinlg to start bogus wars that kill thousands of innocent people and steal elections.
You think the Cheney/Bush team is willingly going to relinquish all the power it has accumulated under the Unitary Executive principle ? ... and see it go to a DEMOCRAT?
one wonders. These are interesting times.

You did? Where was this. A foggy dream state after your last toke? Air America? The Village Voice? Ed Schultz, Rosie, Cindy Shehan, Russ Finegold, Tim Robbins? Stay away from the idiot left, they wouldn't know the truth if it bit them. There level of paranoid idiocy is a direct result of their lack of understanding of how the world works.

No, and no one would have him if he tried. He couldn't be elected for the next 100 years. I suspect that if he amended the Constitution and ran, he wouldn't carry more than 3 or 4 states. Even that is depressing to think about.
Bush is ruined, no doubt about it. Whether the GOP is ruined is another question. Perhaps not.
