cream of wheat, cream of rice, and oatmeal are all good for babies. they need a well balanced diet, too. baby foods with meat and veggies and fruit. applesauce or mashed banana. you can't really find any foods that have ALL the food groups. humans need a variety to maintain health, babies and adults alike. bread is in the grain/cereal group. spinach is a vegetable. cheese ravioli would be diary and grain, but can your baby chew well enough? babies don't eat ravioli as a rule.

Unless someone in your family has specific food allergies it is ok to introduce wheat now. She can have toast for sure, but real oatmeal may be hard to swallow, so I recommend that you buy the baby stuff. I give my son some kind of cereal mixed with pureed fruit, I also have something called Cerelac from India that I give him (it is wheat based). For lunch I give the Stage 3 with a gerber fruit, and the same for dinner. I also give him string cheese, crackers, cooked vegetable sticks, or anything else that he would eat to snack on.

Bread would be considered a Cereal/carb. Spinach is a veggie and ravioli would be part carb and part dairy. It would not completely meet his dairy needs for the day. If baby is ok with eating the adult cream of wheat, go ahead and feed her.

Whatever you decide to introduce (new) to her diet, do it one at a time. Wheat for the first week, etc.

Many years ago children were started on cereal products at a much younger age and they were fine.

Unless there is wheat allergy in the family, it will probably be fine. By introducing one thing at a time, you are able to tell if there is a problem with one particular item.
