Religions are simply ways of life... following of the enlightened masters of the various era! Every religion stems from an enlightened master... never otherwise! Whenever one gains enlightenment and preaches the wisdom to the masses... one develops a following!

When Gautama Buddha gained enlightenment... the religion was termed as Buddhism and the teachings as the middle path. Similarly when Prophet Mohammed gained enlightenment... his following was termed as followers of Islamic Dharma!

When Mahavira gained enlightenment... his following was not termed as Jainism as Jainism is a way of life and not a religion in its literal term. One who has won his real self... soul the atman within becomes a Jina and is termed as Jain... and the teachings Jainism!

Hinduism has been termed as a religion... primarily, it is a Dharma... Sanatana Dharma (Dharma that exists from times immemorial)! Hinduism is the essence... the sap of all religions! When Lord Krishna descended on Mother Earth... existed only Dharma.

It was only 1000 years later came Mahavira, about 77 years later Gautama Buddha, about 423 years later Jesus Christ and finally followed prophet Mohammed! When religious did not exist... how did humanity survive? The complete humanity survived due to Dharma... Sanatana Dharma!

In our present phase of life one is born into a religion based on the residual balance of karma of the previous manifestation. Having born into a religion... one can always follow a different religion without converting into one!

Hinduism is one such religion... a Dharma that can be followed by one belonging to any religion. One need not convert to Hinduism religion to follow the tenets of Hinduism! Truthfully Hinduism forms the base... the spine of all religions!

Devoid of Hinduism... humanity simply could not exist on Mother Earth. Hinduism forms the soul atman... the core of all religions! It exists from times immemorial and hence has also been termed as Sanatana Dharma.

Different religions exist on Mother Earth... the essence of all being the same! The primary teachings of all religions take all towards the same goal. Teachings of all enlightenment masters carry the same essence!

As many human beings on Mother Earth... as many interpretations of the teachings of the enlightened masters can there be! It is only vested interests of the religious leaders that creates disharmony amongst various religions.

In no sacred scripture... an enlightened master has ever stated that my religion is the best... the only path to come to God! Those pursuing the path of spirituality... seeking God must assimilate pearls of wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita... the doctrine given to mankind by Lord Krishna! The formulas are flawed. The variable I call Individualism was not incorporated into the formula and each religion has their own version of the formula. If there were only one formula and it encased all variables, there would be no need for hostility.

yeah its true that lots of them are hostile and if we look deeply we will see how much they are liars they say something and do something else.BUT if lots of them are like that .that doesn't proof that all the religions are the same.even if we find one good religeons who is kind and not hostile that doesn't mean that there aren't good ones.here in my country we say look at ur fingers and you will see that they don't look the same even if they are fingers.i mean by that don't think all of them are bad even if u didn't meet one.because there is a lots of good religeons

Please remember religions are the creation of man, while our life should be governed by faith. Blindly following a religion is one of the worst choices one can make (example - fanatical terrorists). In my opinion one should always question methods and find the true intentions of a religion: if it is to spiritually elevate you and lead you to the truth you may be on the "right" path; if on the other hand the religion focuses on material goals or a certain person's goals I think it should be avoided. Also when talking just about "good" religions you may find they different people find different religions to be best for them (leading them to their spiritual elevation). It is still a wonder why crusades were held in the name of Christianity... I think the true message of Christianity has absolutely nothing to do with violence. Again it all comes down to how certain people want to interpret the truth (or the word of God - however you prefer) and one's choice to follow those people or to try to find the truth for themselves. I think true spiritual masters (of any religion) will never advice for any kind of violence.

In Animism, animals, vegetation, rocks, and so on. have their own spirits. Spirits grew to become Gods as we matured in self-awareness by way of civilization. Christian Monotheism, with its Heaven and Hell recommendations, is the religious maturing of Individualism - the self-centeredness. each and every little thing else, like animals, is considered as marginal and subdued to us on the religious height of the pyramid. the numerous Spirits of Animism and later many Gods of Polytheism are derogatorily noted as Demons.

Jealousy. Having one god and one true god is an antidote to jealousy. Polytheistic gods were not jealous of one another per se. Monotheistic gods are jealousy if you choose to have more than one god.

Anyone who has seen a jealous lover or spouse knows how dangerous a jealous person/god can be.

Because too many people don't understand those "formulas", even if they think they do.

Because many want to make us all follow their religion. There are pressure groups who want to destroy critical and scientific thinking and they are penetrating our schools.

I think it is because each religion believes only what their bible says and they hate other people who dont follow their bible because its not what they are used to.
