Can't describe it better than Quella Bella, the one that don't know and have never known hate.

Sure, you can love more than one person, if not then how can you love your Mom and Dad and other family members? it applies same to other people also. And from Jesus point of view, you must love all the people even your enemies! how great is that?!

I love you and everybody!

I didn't think you had enough stars, so I added one! :) :)
Just yesterday, I was talking with a young man born in India. It was about nuances in synonyms. & then he commented on "love" in English, & how many more definitions there are in his language. Having one word for love so limits our ability to communicate with each other. As in Spanish, I found the language so rich. The use of "tu" (you) more intimate, for friends & children. & if I haven't fogotten, not having used it for so long, "usted" used with respect for the elderly & so on. Even objects that are male or female! Our language must certainly shape our thinking, & English is rather barren.
There are so many kinds of love, one no more or less than another, just "different." Also, just glancing at the answers, I think some are confused about "love" & being "in" love. Love is the more serious; in love is the "temporary insanity," isn't it? As to romantic love, I've loved more than one man at the same time for different reasons. Cultures may dictate whether this is "moral" or not, but I've always followed my own lead in matters of sincere feeling. If I feel, I feel & that's it. Nor were there any associated problems. When I was married, our love was so complete--that is, he fulfilled absolutely everything--& yet, I had male "friends" that I was fond of. So! Yes, I could/can.

Agape and philos should be without limit. Eros, for me is exclusive, and any less is a poor substitute. I have three children, but if I would have had six, I would have loved them all just as much. I also believe it is possible to find true love more than once in a lifetime, just not at the same time. I find the older I get, the easier it is to love my family, my friends and even an expanded love of mankind that I was not aware of in my youth.

Well I love all of my family that's more tha one person at the same time... but I'm going to assume you meant other than family so........................

I think YES. I have an ex that was so immature that our relationship just didn't work out however it was the immature boy that I feel in love with, I grew up and he didn't and that is when our relationship changed. Even though it changed I still love him today but I'm in a new relationship with someone else who I also love. I think there are lots of different kinds of "LOVE" so to speak. I don't love his has a bf anymore but more like a brother I guess you could say and I love my new man with all my heart!

Ultimately, I think it depends on the situation, for me.

With friends, though:

I am ABSOLUTELY in love with my two best friends at the moment. However, different types of love.

The first, I am a complete and total oppositte of. She and I have nothing in common, and yet, somehow, everything in common. I've known her for only a month or so, and I knew I'd love her to death, since the day I first spoke with her. She jumped right in, declared me her bestie, and we've reached *perfeckten* with our friendship since then.

The other, simply amazes me. No other word for it: amazement. He and I have a lot in common, psychologically. I've known him for a couple of months, and we've learned that we think alike, in many ways. We are perfekt, as well.

In my eyes, no one can ever match these two people. We are perfekt. Be jealous. ^-^

So, I love one, because she and I are just crazy enough, that we're perfekt for each other. I love the other, because he will, I believe, always understand me.

Different types of love.

But love, is still love.

So, yes, I love two *friends* at the same time.

However, in relationships, in terms of boyfriend/girlfriend, it's a bit more complicated. I've avoided relationships, as of yet.

However, I feel that if I were to find myself loving more than one person at a time, it would not be true love, or it wouldn't be as true as it *could* be.

I like very few people, but I love many.

For instance, there is someone I met a month ago, but we didn't speak until a couple of days ago. I knew, by the time her first few words escaped her mouth, that I love her. And yet, I don't think I really like her.

That's love. It's crazy. And it's perfekt.

And so are we.

I repeat,

be jealous =)

That's very possible my friend. I have personally been in love to more than one person before. It was somewhat very tiring on my part and you will have the guilt feeling later. I think this happens many times to many people. Muslims are allowed to marry as much wives as they do. So it is really not impossible to be in love with so many persons.

Have a nice day!

There's that word love again. The word love is like the word sky. There are many different kinds of skies just as there are many different types of love. You can love more than one person at a time, and you can also love each person in a different way. Love is a river, not a cup. It requires motion and purpose, not just state of mind. The real question should be, can you love more than one person and respect and honor both of them at the same time?

I believe that you can love many people at the same time, but not all to the same degree or with the same kind of love.

I do know that now that I have found my LOVE ... my ONE TRUE LOVE ... I do not love anyone else the same way. In fact, I don't believe I have EVER loved anyone else in quite the same way. I don't want any other person .... and if for any reason I could not be with him, I would rather stay alone than be with anyone else.

Perhaps the distinction between "loving" and being "IN love" is valid -- but whatever the case, this is how it is for me.

Yes, Moon it is more than possible you can love more than 2 people at once. It is likely that you will. For example, I know my son loves me, and he also loves his wife and daughter. There is no conflict. If people are referring to marriage or love in the contaxt of a sexual relationship, then it is important to choose only one person you love to have sex with. Hopefully we are all mature enough and have enough self control to make the right choices. Just remember that loving someone may have nothing to do with their gender.

I certainly don't believe you could love any less, the more the merrier. Of course if one of those is a spouse there is a certain faithfulness that's demanded, it doesn't mean you can't love, but it limits sexual expression if that's the love implied. This is the basis of what was once called courtly love (of course in those days most marriages were arranged).
