No. However, in hawaii, you always live by the ocean because the islands are so small.

This does not mean there are no other places by the ocean. Take Victoria Island for example.

Well that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard!!! You might want to take another geography class. And make sure you pay attention this time!!!! Or at least pick up a map, look at a globe, or download google earth.

There are five oceans around the world...why whould Hawaii be the only place near an ocean? Who told you that???

Define 'near.'

60% of Americans (that's 180million people!) live within 100 miles of an ocean.

Open an Atlas or look at a globe of the world, not just the island nations like Japan, the Philippines, Madagascar, Indonesia, Greenland, Iceland, but also the island-continent of Australia etc etc etc etc

If you live in Hawaii then you don't live near the ocean you live right in the middle of the ocean!!!

Well my opinion about that is no

maybe they are saying that hawaii is the only state that is in the middle of the ocean.

I dont really get the question but hope you get what i am talking about.

Tell that to the Americans who live along the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, the Gulf of Mexico and who live along the coasts of Alaska.

Not to mention any other country that has a coastline.

BTW, it's spelled HAWAII.
