**Iraq: We have been there for over 4 years and nearly everything they predicted was wrong.
Once the U.S. dismantled the Iraq military it was our responsibility to keep insurgents and Al Qaeda out of Iraq. That obviously was unsuccessful. Now our soldiers are fighting Al Qaeda, insurgents, and warring factions within Iraq.
**Afghanistan: The Taliban is regrouping in Afghanistan. So is Al Qaeda. The poppy fields in that country are all time highs.
**No child left behind: Is not helping students or teachers.
**Immigration reform: Still no significant improvement there.
**Unsecured U.S. borders and ports: 6 years after 9/11 borders and ports are still wide open.
**War on drugs: Still 20 years after Reagan started this war the drugs in this country run like rivers! Anyone can buy any drug anywhere in the U.S.
**Bush keeps appointing people to hold Dept. head jobs that are unqualified to say the least. Example Alberto Gonzales.
Why are the Democrats responsible for (R) failures?

What good can come from isolating the entire Democrat party and the Republicans who disagree with the administration's policies?
Aren't they supposed to work together to make the U.S. better?

It seems to me that the Democrats are doing their best to divide the country not the Republicans............

Some of the issues you mention are the failures of both parties. The Republicans are now pushing for a bill to secure the borders. Both parties should have addressed this years ago. The old and true saying "Those that can't legislate, investigate" like it or not the Deputy Attorney Generals serve at the pleasure of the President. The Democrats turned this into an issue where there was none. The Dems want to raise taxes on those that pay the highest percentage of taxes and raise taxes across the board. Sen. Kennedy has been a vocal proponent of the tax increase. I find this almost funny since the Kennedy family trust and fortune are in Figi to advoid paying U.S. taxes. Not only did Clinton fire A.G.'s that were investigating him in Ak. he fired a large number of DEA field agents. I believe because his brother was arrested for buying cocaine by the DEA. Washington D.C. schools spends more per student than any school district in the nation and has one of the highest failure rates. I would say your statement should be revised to say teachers are not helping students. There is hardly a country in the World that has not suffered a terrorist attack. Islams creed is World domination and to kill those that resist or speak against it. America was told at the outset this is going to be a long struggle. We suffered many attacks under Clinton and no matter who the next President is or if we never went into Iraq, they will still come after us. Osama is of the violent Wahhabi sect. I am concerned that the Saudis have built over one thousand Wahhabi Mosques in America. There is plenty of blame to be shared by both parties.

Interesting list. If you are going to bring up the "War on Drugs", what about "War on Poverty" that's been a failure for over 40 years! I've believe we've pumped in trillions and the numbers have grown and grown!
As for Iraq, I don't think you're quite honest in saying that nearly everything predicted was wrong. Your point that it was our responsibility to prevent an insurgency is true, but that's why there was a change in strategies earlier in the year (which is apparently being successful). As to your point on al Qeada, you are simply wrong. It was stated very early that we wanted to fight them their, not here. And that part of the strategy has worked, al Qaeda has focused their resources in Iraq.
"No Child Left Behind" was doomed when President Bush errantly decided to colaborate with Ted Kennedy. Anything that Ted touches turns to manure.

Methinks it to be the Party of Responsibility only so long as it is the responsibility of others that is being discussed.
This is the group that can only grudgingly bring itself to admit that "mistakes were made". WE didn't make them, mind you, and we can't waste a lot of time specifying exactly what the mistakes were; that would be living in the past.
The supposedly left-wing media are just another foil for the republicans. Anything the administraton screws up is conveniently laid at the feet of "The Media"; we are asked to believe that if only the leftwingmedia would have reported the truth, the truth would have turned out better than it did.
"Divide and Conquer" and "Blame the Victim"-- the oldest games in the empire-building book.

They don't.
This is what liberals are saying in reference to the divisive tone between Republicans and Democrats in Washington DC. The problem is that liberals are creating the divisive tone. Al Gore said President Bush betrayed his country. Al Sharpton compared President Bush to a gang leader. Senator Byrd compared Republicans to Nazis. Senator Kennedy said the war in Iraq was a fraud. Howard Dean suggested that President Bush had prior knowledge of the attacks on September 11, 2001. This is just a small sample of statements made by liberals against conservatives and then they have the nerve to say that the tone in Washington is divisive and say that President Bush was going to change the tone!

It must be nice to be so sure of yourself that there's no possibility your opponents could have a point! Arguing their point of view is no more divisive than the opponents' arguing theirs.
Reagan, by the way, didn't start the "war on drugs," nor did the phrase come from that administration. It's somewhat older.
I haven't seen a heck of a lot of good leadership from either party, and I'm already sick of the Democratically controlled Congress moaning and attacking without actually promulgating useful alternatives.

Just because you have a bunch of incorrect rants, that does not make republicans divided. The only divide is between the people that know the truth and the idiots who believe the media and far left. Which is where you apparently fall.

Anyone who ever wants to win another election is running away from failure, they have to look out for themselves. Party loyalty, partisanship, it seems like all one party to me, they each have their parts in the play, but it's the same play, it's called "Divide and Conquer".
