I think you are making this harder than it should be. Wear something comfortable and nice. You act as if you wear something that isnt black to go see the movie all hell will break loose. It won't. Now if you are stressing out because you friend is a guy well then I can see why. But even so its still the same, wear something thats comfy and looks nice. You are just going to see a movie so its not like you will really be able to see what you are wearing anyway. (Excuse me if the following is going to be insulting) The answers the people above me left just seem stupid. If you don't already dres that way then you shouldn't have to change your style just to go see the movie. Even if its just for one night. I also find it stupid that they would think black clothes and eyeliner are "scary" (It might just be because thats I wear but thats beside the point) If you were going to go watch mean girls would you wear a mini skirt and something with glitter just for the movie? No, you wouldn't (unless thats what you already wear). So, even though this is getting annoying to hear over and over, just chill out and wear something thats comfortable and looks nice.

Get some old jeans and a shirt...cut them up in shreds and wear them.
Wear a lot of dark eyeshadow with black or dark lipstick with a lot of eyeliner and mascara...that should be horror enough!

Where what you normally would wear. Nothing fancy, a tshirt and jeans is fine. You don't need to rip them up. Everyone there will look like someone you would see walking around outside.

Lots of pale makeup, maybe a knee-length or shorter black dress, put an apron over it, and you can be a makeshift Magenta.
Then...
It's just a jump to the left.

just wear like, a princessy dress, but add a lot of mascara and eyeliner, and dark eye shadow. add a black bow, and wear converses. add anything else freaky or emo.
