Absolutely!!!! I couldn't have said it any better. If you don't re adjust your priorities and values, then I'm guessing your going to be a pretty lonely person. The older I get, the wiser I get....dang it, mom was right again! Theres another phone call. SHE LOVES IT! I do too.

Yes! You think back and say to yourself:-"why did I make such a big deal of that?"
My one daughter in SA, just told me that her sister studied for the wrong Maths exam, (they had 4), in her matric year. That is the final year of high school.
What I love, is that the three girls stuck together like glue, never dobbed on each other. but over the years the funnies have come out, and we have all had a good laugh. As you say, so what if your grandson can't spell, he has got spellcheck.
It's going to be a long night, off to watch the Rugby. The USA has a rugby team in the world cup too. that's only very recent.

OMG! You (and I ) have grown up! Isn't it funny how all those stupid, lame requirements we used to have just melted away with time! I have vowed that my tombstone will NOT read, "he gave good house." I prefer, "I had no regrets." AT this point in life, I am still a work in progress, but looking back, the regrets are few, the rewards are many. Not bad considering how old I am. Good luck, love, and peace in life....Goldwing

Completely. Life throws us curves; we need to learn to be flexible.
Once upon a time my values were different. Then came a huge earthquake. Everyone I loved was okay. This event changed my priorities and values completely.
Material things have no value compared to those we love.

Absolutely! Getting drunk and getting laid aren't near as important as they were 30 years ago! LOL. I agree with almost everything you say up there except that to me and thankfully to my sons, education is very important. You don't always have spell check, calculator batteries die in math tests. You need to know how to spell, how to do long division. How to put together a sentence so that you sound intelligent. I hate these commercials that say, "idk, my bff Jill...." give me a break!

I have learned to live in perfect harmony with a few dust bunnies if it means more time with my grandkids and the horses. I have also learned, the softer I talk, the closer they listen.
