McCartney. I have an affinity for bass players and Sir Paul is highly underrated, IMO. Add that to his vocal abilities which can be sickeningly sweey and syrupy one minute and screaming in your face the next AND his compositional skills which were sadly overshadowed by Lennon (again, IMO), Paul was far more involved in the success of the Beatles than he is given credit for, and no, it's not just because he was the cute one. He wrote "Hey Jude". 'Nuff said.

John Lennon. He was a brilliant song writer and he was anti - establishment. I would love to hear what he would have to say about what's going on in the world now. It's very similar to the 1960's.
