If I remember correctly,

it should be round jelly like shape with a small black dot in the middle.

The small black dot will grow up into a tadpole.

Those that are in cluster are frogs while those in string line form are toads.

They are a round clear jelly sometimes in clusters and sometimes in strings with a black spot in the middle that develops into a tadpole.

Soooo.... Colorless would be your answer.

We had all sorts of them mounded up in vernal springs this year until we hit a drought and the pools dried up and most of them didn't make it. It was sad.
