Your day will come. I lived many a year being compared to my twin; with me being the ne'er-do-well, the adventurer and one who played at jobs but seemed to have no career... the one who got disowned, the one who married badly. Then my folks were presented with a wonderful grandbaby, and my dad suddenly said he'd always wished he could have traveled and adventured like I did.

Then years more go by, the parents are gone and we're orphans, and my twin says "Wish I hadn't worked all those years; now I want the adventures you had." Well, it will all come out in the wash. The twin will get adventures, I'm in retirement, kid is grown, twin already onto the edges of life now and then... it all switches round and round.

Life is good, even when it seems you can only say why the effing hell? to it... that means you're on the move, you're aware and smart and all those things! there are just those lousy comparisons. Waste of time. Live your own life now, no matter what others say...

there will always be someone better. in not in one way, then in another, either prettier or smarter, taller or thinner. None of that matters. what matters is what we do with what we've got.

we don't have to be the smartest or brightest to accomplish great feats, or land a good deals in life.

Envy is always one sided. Consider those who think the same thing about you. Jealousy though can often lead to a desire to hurt the person who has or is what we want or want to be.

These are states of mind and states of being that don't have to exist. We can also choose to think about other things.

No one is ever better than you are as a whole. They just might be better in some areas. Your problem lies in yourself. You must build your confidence. Appearance plays a role in attraction, but more so is the attitude you have.
