i am going to do it with my stepdad just to get out and go dancing.. ive never done it and wanted to know what its like.. and stuff.. anyways anything nwould be helpful

The 2nd link under Snowflake is a better example of West Coast Swing that you will see out on the social floor.
West Coast Swing is basically a slot dance where you (as the follower) travel forward and backwards on a straight line and the guy (leader) gets out of your way. The dance can be difficult as there is no set number of beats per pattern so it relies alot on the follower watching and waiting on the leader.
I do enjoy this dance very much and I wish you best of luck. West Coast Swing always have more men than women in it.
