Herbs are nice...
I would go to a website that lists spices and look at some.

I don't like Parsley really, but here are some spices/herbs I love!

Caraway
Cayenne
Ginger
Marjoram
Poppy
Rosemary
Saffron
Sage

or Tarragon is nice too... Especially if you call her Tarra for short...

Think about how she is going to feel about this unusual name when she is 11 or 12, and other kids can be really cruel about any name with a common other purpose.
And think about when she is in her early 20's, maybe applying for a professional job. If you are an employer, does "Tarragon" sound like someone who is going to be a smart, successful employee?
When she is 40, how will she feel about new co-workers asking about her name, explaining to her kids' teachers that yes, they did fill her name in correctly, spelling it for the gazillonth time to a clerk, T-A-R-R..., like the herb.
You are setting this child up for a lifetime of justifying, spelling, and confirming her name over and over. If you are deadset on naming her after an herb, use Rosemary. At least it is a lovely old name that people are accustomed to hearing for a person's name as well.
If you consider other names, run it through the scenarios of an adult life. Your daughter will be a grown up much longer than she will be a child and she will have to live with your choice forever.

Why not name her Basil or Paprika? Why in the world would you name a beautiful baby girl Tarragon? It might be cute if you named her Tara and you called her Tarragon as a nick name between the two of you.

I don't see why not, you can name your children whatever you choose. If that's what you want to name her then go for it. I would go with Tarragon before the other two, but I would call her by a nickname such as Terry, Tara, Ray, Raygen, etc...

I don't like Grisabella personally...Tarragon is okay and then you could call her Tarra for short.

I like Sage better myself, but this is your little girl and you can name her anything you want.

Well it's different but Rosemary has been widely used. . . .nickname would probably end up Tarry which is not bad. . . .and Tarragon is better than Garlic.
