Yes most of the time it is except for a few exceptional people that do realize it. The phrase reminds me of the song: You don't know what U got till ya Erase Paradise and Put Up a Parking Lot!

In some ways yes. We, as humans, take things for granted. Don't deny you don't, because whether we like it or not, we do. For example when I lived in Alaska, I wanted to get awya so bad. But now that I am gone, I miss it so much, and my best friend I left there. But I know try and look at evrything as an oppurtunity. I still take things for granted, but I'm only human.

I don't the phrase is true for all situation. Most people realised what they have. They just did not appreciate it. Thats all.

Absolutely! I've seen people make wrong choices and
then wish they hadn't. I know a woman who dumped her
husband for another man. He cheated on her and now
she wishes she could have her 1st husband back. He
was alone for many years--then I was blessed to become
his wife. His ex is now very jealous and not very nice to
me anymore.

It's quite true sometimes. I mean you can realize that you have it when you have it. BUT then again a lot of peole don't easily realize that way..Well, that's life.. =)

I think that that question is loaded. In certain circumstances yes I do believe it, but in others, It could have been the best thing to happen.
