It should be powerful enough to keep others from becoming the government. It is not power that is the problem but the power to act without accountability for your actions.
In a quality society many people can exercise administrative activities, as indeed most good that a society can do takes many people working together, and a final choice of who does what part, and what methods are best, needs to be made if anything is to be accomplished.
However it is human nature that those with the power to make that final decision will lean to stuff that is the best outcome for them and their cronies. If such corruption were to lead to terrible personal outcomes, then an honest quality society would quickly evolve.
That was the plan of the Founders of the United States, but they only partially succeeded. Still it was a start and many improvements have been made. It was impossible to ban slavery at the start, but it was eventually banned.
As long as the Gang Of Pirates holds power in the Government, they will hobble any attempt to increase accountability for anyone, beyond perhaps sharpening the whips of the powerful to keep their victims more in line.

I thnik it is too powerful today. It is absorbing our national monetary resources at an alarming rate for projects not supported by "the people,"
It should not be easier to amend the constitution. It is hard on purpose. Our courts are sufficient to run the legal system short of amending the constitution.
Making the flag scared. People can burn the flag as a protest, but some think it should be a protected symbol of the United States.
Better than most.
g-day!

The Central Government shouldn't exist at all! Like David C. Rockerfeller said, it is the millionair elite who will run the world, not politicians. Talk about letting the fox guard the henhouse!
The major media has kept quiet about this for over the past 40 years, as people like Rockerfeller, and Zbignew Brzinski set about quietly making a world government not only possible, but most likely to happen. Look up the Tri Lateral Comission if you want some verrrry interesting reading.
Members of the Tri Lateral Comission have been in the WhiteHouse since before 1967, each time manipu;lating the WhiteHouse, and Our government officials to achieve a long term plan for world takeover. This is not just heresay, but has been actually proven, and admitted to by David C. Rockerfeller. I guess they are so secure in their plans that they figure it is unstoppable at this point, so it doesn't make sense to lie about it anymore.

the central government, or federal government, is far, far, far too powerful today. the whole purpose of the constitution was to limit the strength of the feds and to protect the american people from the violation of rights they would surely have to endure should the federal government grow too large and powerful. the problem is that the feds are grossly overstepping their boundaries, and that not enough everyday people seem to give a damn, or they just like it that way, which enables continued abuse of our rights by the feds.
