There are more DNA tests to still go back to the Portugal police from the british police. The UK police are also looking into both backgrounds too. This is for violence, etc.

Wow, it looks like Team McCann have been to every reporter in the world with their "evidence and facts". I'm sorry, but in the same way that the McFans refused to believe any information that came from "Police sources", I refuse to believe ANYTHING that Team McCann are repeating ad nauseum. It's all "a friend said" or "their spokesperson said".

So we are to believe what two SUSPECTS have said to their friends and family (whilst not being allowed to discuss the case), and accept it as fact?

Not me. Aunty Phil, Uncle John etc can keep on parroting heresay until the cows come home, (what is it about procrastination and beef?), it doesn't mean that there is any truth to it.

What's next? Kate fears that aliens abducted Madeleine? Would the McFans swallow that too?

Edit: This was in the article:

She was freed and returned to the couple's rented villa in Praia da Luz, where she gave two-year-old twins Sean and Amelie an enormous hug. Later she called on the local Anglican priest for prayers.

Anglican priest? I thought that, apart from their use of IVF, the McCann's were devout Catholics? What, the RC church hasn't done them any good so far, so they're switching horses mid-race? Next they'll be visiting Rabbis and Monks too. I also note that Kate gave the twins an enourmous hug, THAT'S newsworthy? I hug my kids every day, I don't get a bloody write up in the press for it. Yet again, more propaganda from Team McCann. Aunty Phil et al, should write for the Movies.

Hi C.T. I cannot understand how such an intelligent couple got their selves in to this mess. They don't have any common sense ,their lack of parenting skills has been obvious as their lack of responsibility towards their Children. The fundamental responsibilities of Parenthood have been completely absent as has their sense of sacrifice for their children.Parenting skill's don't always come naturally, The McCanns always had a Nanny to care for their children. But that is no excuse for what has happened. They have damned their Daughter possibly to a living Hell goodness knows where. If Mrs McCann drugged her daughter ,then she has broken the law.Clearly, The Socrates Oath means nothing to this selfih couple.I think this is why they are in the mire with no way out .They have skated on thin Ice and paid the price by dipping their toes in cold water. The Murkey Depths to which they have sunk is anyones guess. But are the Police any wiser than anyone else.It could happen tommorow ,the day after ,but somehow they will both be landed with a degree of blame in this whole sordid situation.I am sorry to sound so harsh ,but the picture of Maddie will never leave my thoughts.God forbid that they should find her dead .It certainly would be a strange funeral. If she was found alive how would all this be explained to her.

And so she should fear. There are no policemen in Portugal looking to further their agenda. The McCanns' behaviour has been extremely suspicious especially their website, publicity and selling wristbands etc. This whole situation can be described in 3 words, 'Money, Money. Money'. Madeleine has been sacrificed on the altar of Mammon. There is nothing done in darkness that will not come to light.

Little Weed is quite right. (Thanks for the link)
The supposed "deal" offered by the PJ to Kate - Forget what you saw in the movies or TV - under Portuguese law, the police has no power to offer any deals, so it's highly unlikely that they would even go there. One word of advice: try to get as much independent information from reliable foreign press agencies, because you can't get that from the likes of Skate&Gerry News, the public family TV. This people have no code of conduct to go by? What has happened to impartiality, unbiased and rigorous information, etc?
As someone watching from abroad, it seems like I am hearing about two different cases, so different is the coverage by Sky News, compared to other foreign TVs...

If the Portuguese police had the strength of physical evidence that is being reported in the press, the McCanns would have been behind bars since Thursday. Don't get sucked in by the gossip.

I am SO suprised at

"Police apparently believe Mrs McCann, rather than her husband, is their main suspect because of a "scent of death" allegedly detected on her clothes by sniffer dogs trained to find a corpse"

I would never have predicted that one!!!

Surely the end is near in this. They've got there woMAN!!!

If the police have CONCRETE evidence then the police should certainly push for a confession. As for the "plea bargaining" well it isn't possible under Portuguese law for the police to do this. Please If you haven't already done so , read this very interesting article which shows why.

Who in their right mind would allow kids under 4 years old to stay ALONE in a hotel room?

That alone is grounds for suspecting a mother of even worse.

If she does confess, she should fry for it. She involved the entire world in her daughter's disappearance.

Kate and Gerry should have been charged a long time ago with wilful child neglect and child endangerment instead they have been hero worshipped by the bleeding heart brigade for being towers of strength

Yes she and her husband are to be charged hopefully !

I just hope that this poor little girl is found - either dead or alive too.

Doubt if the police would make so much information public knowlegde if they hadn't good reason.
