And the Buffalo Bills
Has anyone noticed that 2 big events are happening in the world of sports for these 2 teams the Bills are hosting a Monday night football game against the Cowboys
and the Buffalo Sabres are hosting the Ice Bowl against the Pittsburgh Penguins
this is all happening in the same season what is up with that pretty cool though
Has any other sports city had 2 big events happen like that all in the same year? Hockey/ Baseball / Basketball/ Football

i dont think its a huge event MNF but with ESPN being there and its not like every team hosts MNF every year so its something different for a change and the idea of ESPN being there will bring people in that is what i was getting at with the Fottball part and for the ice bowl it is a big event how many other teams have hosted it before was it Edmonton a few years ago so the ice bowl is kind of a big deal also because the HSBC Arena holds 18690 i believe and the Ralf holds over 73000 so for i hockey game it will be having like 3 or 4 home games in seating

Minnesota hosted a World Series and a Super Bowl and NCAA semi-final all in one year I believe.

Since when was Monday Night Football a big event? It's the 19th time Buffalo has hosted a Monday Night game?

Personally I think there are tons of sports cities that have 2 or more big events a year.

Last year St. Louis had a Monday Night game.....oh, and they hosted the World Series. All in October.

So, I don't think this is a big huge deal for Buffalo to celebrate.

The hockey game on the other hand is huge and definitely something to celebrate. But I agree with everyone else (including the Sabres Head Office) that Toronto, Ottawa, or Montreal should have been the opponent.

I can't see why it is such a big event unless you live in Buffalo and are a Cowboys fan. I think they are having 2 Monday Night Football games per week this year so that hardly constitutes a big event even more.
As for the ice bowl, let's see if it even goes off as planned and even if it does, IMO, it is not that big of a deal. Nothing compared to a Championship.

I dont know if those are two big events or not, Monday night football, and a hockey game. In Indy every year we have the Indy 500, the Brickyard 400, and up until next year the US GP, which next year we will have MOTO GP. We have hosted final fours, and NBA finals.
