This is the kind of question that leaves egg on ones face; but here goes. $3300 is the value of their stolen car.

I never heard it before, but it seems to imply that the restaurant was VERY large, like a parking lot is.
Sounds like they dropped their wallet or else invested in a restaurant that flopped.
