I started school weeks ago taking all regular classes. My school offers AP and IB but I didn't think I would be ready. I took all Pre-AP classes in freshman year, but then I was homeschooled for sophmore year and took correspondence courses. I'm now back in public school and I didn't think I would be ready for AP, but my regular English class is SO BORING!!!! Its way too easy for me and I finish my work ahead of everyone. I don't know what to do though because school started two weeks ago and AP English had two summer reading books that I haven't read. I am a year ahead of grade level in English. I take senior English instead of junior English. So in my actual senior year I will be taking a college English class. So, my question is, is it better for me to have a High A in English regular, or to switch to AP and get mid-B's? I'm talking about how it applies to getting into college. Which is better for them? Reasonably well everywhere else. So I’m confident I’ll do well on the SAT. With having a good SAT score and a year of college English under my belt when I apply for college, will I appeal to colleges the same, more, or less than if I had taken AP English? Sorry this is so long but I’m having a really hard time figuring out what to do. Thank you for any help you can give me!
