They will be found out in the end. The police in the UK are obviously looking at their past history, marriage, their moods, etc to see if there have been problems in the past.

I've always been convinced that the McCann's were guilty of neglect...it now SEEMS as if that was only the start of their culpability in this case.
Avondrow? you said: "So far the police have not proffered any evidence. In fact the prima facia case is so weak they have to resort to plea bargaining."
The only evidence for such an offer is Philomena regurgitating something (that Kate told her) as a fact. As the McFans have been saying ad nauseum for the last month or so, HERESAY is not FACT. The extended McCann family and friends are not involved in any of the details of the investigation, they merely parrot what they have been told by two people who are, lets not forget, suspects. They should all keep quiet.

And their car parked on a yellow line, let's have them for that as well.
They haven't been charged with anything. They've been given 'suspect' status, which allows the police to ask questions which infer they have something to do with their daughter's disappearance, and gives the McCanns certain legal obligations and protections.
Since they are, in your words, innocent (because they haven't been proven guilty) what have they done wrong in accepting the Pope's invitation. Unless you don't really believe they're "innocent until found guilty".
And if they're innocent, how do they "deserve all they get" - they shouldn't have left the kids alone, but having your daughter taken away is a little harsh punishment for the innocent.
"Innocent until proven guilty" means just that - we assume innocence until a court shows otherwise. So the innocent don't 'deserve all they get' or display 'audacity'in visiting other countries.
Now, if they're found guilty by a court of law, I'll start to agree with you.

I really felt sorry for them but isn't this case weird? What the hell is going on? The police out there must have some pretty damming evidence to now be treating them as suspects! I hope everyone is wrong and that poor little Maddie is somewhere safe and being well treated!
Don't know what to think any more

I read that they have not touched a penny of any money that has been raised to help them, so steady on and lets find out the truth about what happened to Maddy before we hang them both shall we.

Where are the twins? I haven't heard anything on how they are doing or where they are, who's keeping them?
They should have been taken away while this was investigated.
I want this whole thing to end so someone will just fess up, say where Maddie is so she can be brought home!

bring back the guillotine or execution. Maybe they went round praying at churches and visiting the pope in order to seek forgiveness for their crime.
