Charlie Pride is a black man, and is one of the greatest country singer that has ever came out of Nashville, this man can sing a country song, I'm suprised that he is not still making records I believe that he still could! I don't know if we can compare Charlie Pride to Cowboy Troy, because Cowboy Troy sang a medley with Big and Rich, and Charlie Pride was a super country star, and will never be forgot!Never!

I think cowboy troy is good for music. Not necessarily just country. He opens some barriers. And personally I like his music.

Call me an old fart if you want to, but i wish he would just go, and take the rest of the "musak mafia"with Him !!!!!!!!! If i wanted to listen to Rap, I would turn on a rap station. If i wanted to listen to '80s rock (which is what most of the pretend country is today) i would listen to it. I listen to a country station for COUNTRY music. Too bad it is so hard to find these days. You kids do not know what you missed when country wasn't cool.

I love country music, he's good and deserves to be where he's at. One of my favorites has always been Charlie Pride and he was one of the best!!

I do agree with Tex, he wouldn't have fit in with Classic country but he does fit with New country music!

I think he sets a good example, but personally I think he sucks. The others are right, he's pretty much a rapping tall guy who tries to look country.

He's good for what country music is today. Country music has changed dramatically and it no longer sound anything like it did back in the 60's 70's and 80's. He would never have fit in back in the George Jones, Merle Haggard era. But he seems to fit in with this younger generation.

Hmmm, good question. He's alright, but I guess I say that just because I'm a big Big & Rich fan and they go together, so I've seen him as many times as I've seen them, and he's fun and all, but I wouldn't listen to him on a regular basis tho.
