Let's face it, if he is indeed still alive, we can anticipate receiving a message from him close to the anniversary of 9/11, every year.

So is he succeeding in ripping us apart even further? Now he appears to be endorsing Democrats. Personally, I think it's a well laid out ploy on his part. They know that there is a lot of inner-fighting between the Liberals and Conservatives and, are using that ammunition against us.

I believe they watch and have access to sites like this, simply to ring some bells and create even more turmoil, don't you?

Are we as Americans going to allow this garbage to continue dividing us, knowing full well that this is his intent and it's working?

Thank you, Suthrn, and coming from a conservative-leaning thinker like yourself, you're doing a great service in reminding EVERYONE hear that we are ALL AMERICANS and love THIS country.

Well stated.

It all seems very unlikely to me. They pass messages hand to hand up to 12 times and it takes months to get one of these videos in. I am deeply suspicious of how the media takes anything. I personally dont care what Bin Ladin says. I truely believe he leads nothing. The reality is terrorists have access to centralized training but are completely isolated and are not instructed about plans. Post 9/11 I would say we have shut down communications out of that region very effectively. Future attacks will be like the one described on the Rep. debates a few random attacks in shopping malls etc. nothing on the scale of 9/11 (meaning several coordinated teams). I can envision a scenario where they are all primed and ready and when one goes off they rush home from work and get on the suicide vest and try to make it appear to be a larger scale thing.

Actually, I welcome Bin Laden videos. It always helps the Republicans. If Hitler, Pol Pot, or Stalin could be resurrected to tacitly endorse the Democrats, I'd welcome that too.

Remember Bin Laden's last video? What a putz! He warned Americans of the consequences of voting for Bush. This only helped Bush get elected.

We know that Bin Laden is alive, because he mentions some current events, including the new President of France. However, I believe Bin Laden is in seriously bad shape. They dyed his beard because he probably looks ancient know without it. He has dark bags under his eyes. He only moves in the video for a total of 3-1/2 minutes; the rest of the time it is a still image.

What does this indicate? He hasn't had a video in three years. I think he can barely function physically, and maybe he's deteriorating mentally. He may be reading a script. He probably hasn't done more videos either because we're so close to intercepting the couriers of these videos, thereby betraying his hiding place, or he's so physically incapacitated, that he would clearly show his weaknesses to us.

Remember Ronald Reagan's funeral? Margaret Thatcher had to pre-record her eulogy because she was so frail that she wouldn't have been able to summon the strength to stand at the podium. Ditto for Bin Laden, I think.

Is this video dividing us? On the balance, heck no! Convert to Islam? Don't make me laugh. Criticize capitalism? What's the alternative? Badmouth the invasion of Iraq?
Sounds like the voice of desperation to me.

If I were Bush and the Republican hierarchy, I'd send Osama a Thank You card, and a few brewskies. (He'll drink them, believe me)

'Bin Laden's' most recent 'message' seems to be a psychological ploy to keep the US involved in Iraq. The war is an effective Al Qaida recruitment tool and his organization grows stronger with every hour that Americans occupy Iraq.

It is interesting that Bin Laden seems to take a Democrat anti-corporate greed stance. This is good for the GOP, because there is now an inherent - although subconscious - 'You are either with Globalist American Corporations or you are with the Evil Bin Laden' argument.

Aren't Americans led to believe that this is a religious war? Why does 'Bin Laden' seem to care about Republicans and Democrats?

I totally agree. A lot of the answers given so far show that people are fighting each other over Bin Laden's message and seem confused. That's probably exactly what he wanted to see happen. Maybe he also hoped to distract us away from remembering what happened on 9/11, something that tends to unite us. I hope Americans will put his insipid message aside and focus on positive goals we can reach together.

It depends on whether there is any reason behind his arguments. We don't have to take his advice based on his authority. But the reasoning following from the agreed upon facts stands by itself.
That having been said, Osama actions don't justify his behavior. His beliefs are warped. I'll listen to him, but he has given little reason to follow his instructions. Any policy that helps him should help the United States and the world even more.
It is ABSOLUTELY stupid to take the position that we should do the exact opposite of whatever Bin Laden wants us to do. For the simple reason it opens us up to be manipulated by reverse psychology. And it's also a tacit belief that Osama knows what's best for us more than we do.
Think about it.

Americans are not divided in goals, they are divided in how to accomplish the goals. The average person thought we'd be hit again at least once by 9-11-02. So is OBL succeeding? No. We've not become an Islamic state, we've not been hit in the homeland.

This would be a kin to Breznehv coming on air on the anniversary of the Cuban missile crisis and saying, "remember what happened? Arn't you scared?" Just to try and stir up trouble in the US.

We are winning the war on terror. It is just a long process.

They took out two of our buildings. We took out two of thier tyranical governments.

It never ceases to amaze me that people forget our enemy is Islamisim, and not the other party. Trying to over analyze what bin Laden said and thinking that there is some hidden message of trying not to get democrats elected, or trying to get Republicans hot headed is rediculous. The hate of Islamisists doesn't differentiate between parties. The only thing he flat out said was the way to end the fighting against americans is for the US to become an Islamic Theocracy and dump capitalism. Ehf that.

The only way to stop this is to find common ground which includes a common stand and firm direction on Iraq. History tells us thats not going to happen. I don't want to be a Debbie downer but thats the state of things.

possibly he isn't lifeless. human beings say that if he isn't lifeless he could have published a video of himself exposing the hoax, that isn't unavoidably the case. i don't doubt in any respect that there replaced right into a venture and that Bin encumbered replaced into in contact, even with the shown fact it extremely is it achievable that he replaced into captured not killed taken to Guantanamo, and could be tortured to extract tips. The loss of life and disposal of the physique replaced right into a tale fabricated to divert media interest through fact actual torture could be harder to perpetrate if the international knew that Bin encumbered replaced into alive and interior the possession of the united statesprotection tension. each and every of the attention witnesses consisting of a likely harmless woman (we basically have the be attentive to the united statesprotection tension that she replaced into used as a human look after) have been killed. The image has not yet been released yet Bin encumbered could desire to somewhat be sedated and a image simulating loss of life shown to the international the next day, with the postpone of the image being blamed on its image nature (that could desire to somewhat be simulated) and the DNA info could desire to extremely somewhat be won and could be very actual. i'm not announcing this exceeded off basically that any rational individual could locate this account achievable.

I think his latest video is an interesting peice of PROPAGANDA. As propaganda, it's very possible that 'Liberals' or 'Democrats' was meant to be inferred as a ploy, specifically a twist on the "enemy of my enemy is my friend" card. What agenda benefits by the appearance of bin Laden aligned with 'Liberals' and 'Democrats'? THINK about it!

We have a president who says God speaks through him and told him to invade Iraq. Then Osama bin Laden, who we believe was behind 9/11 but our president won't target, says convert to Islam and save ourselves. Why are both sides of the same coin trying to proclaim this is as a religious war? Why are both sides playing on divisiveness and zealotry?

Some question whether or not the Osama message is authentic. Either way, the goal is divisiveness, using the arguments of 'left' and 'right', to keep us in the Middle East for an agenda. I think we need to put aside the emotional reactions and think about why Bush AND Osama want to keep us in Iraq and continue conflict in the Middle East.
