If LSU simply WINS that should put them above USC. Come on LSU is playing a RANKED opponent, compared to IDLE. Yeah though if they own Virgina Tech and don't get number one that will PROVE the USC Bias.

No, unfortunately they put these polls out before anyone plays anyone, meaning we are guessing who we think the best team is. Therefore, USC won't lose their spot until they do something to lose it. They have to have a really close game against a poor team or lose to move down. This is why the only smart thing of the BCS is to wait till the season is in full swing before releasing their poll. Hopefully USC will lose their spot by losing to Nebraska next week :)
This is just one of the many problems with how college football is ran. Also why an overrated Michigan team can start out being number 5, and show that they didn't deserve it once again.

Well yes they would, depending on the magnitude of the crushing.
I don't see that happening though. I think all the hoopla last week actually put too much pressure on the Hokies and hurt their performance. They are a better team than they showed against a perennially under rated East Carolina team..
LSU is supposed to win this game at home, and they will. By less than 10.

Yes if LSU creamed VT they would probably jump over USC. USC has only played Idaho. Mississippi St. was ranked better than Idaho and VT is a ranked team. So LSU should probably be #1 if they win

USC will crush LSU. Sorry to all of the LSU fans. And, here's the thing.. I'm a Longhorns fan! Hook'em Horns! But, I am also an NCAA fan, and I have to give an honest opinion. USC has the better team over LSU, and IS the better team over LSU.

Not this week, but maybe at the end of the season after LSU puts out a lackluster performance in the SEC championship game while SC goes idle....

No way. USC is too much of a power house. For them to move down, some one will have to beat them.

I doubt it, but it doesn't matter anyway... as long as they stay a solid number two, they'll get the chance to handle it on the field in January.
