no!masturbation is fine!it might actually help her, by getting rid of the stress. her mother is being silly, masturbatnig can't mess you up, i'm twelve, i do it, and i'm fine! so don't worry hun, her mommie is being silly to think that!

Masturbation has nothing to do with how period works - at all. If she's only 12, it nothing to worry about my sister didn't start hers till she was 16/17 yrs old. (which yes is unusually compared to average) But like I said, nothing to worry about, she's probably a late starter :)

That is completely normal. Children of all ages masturbate. It will not do anything to her body functions.
