- The Sound of Music: Maria was a wonderful woman and she had an interesting story but the movie was too long and it didn't need song for anyone to understand it.
- Grease: It's ok but not "wow!" or anything spectacular.
- It's a Wonderful Life: I was trying to knock myself out throughout the entire movie. This was one of those old, black-and-white movies that just isn't wonderful like most other old movies.
- Miracle on 34th Street: I never finished watching it.
- Remember the Titans: HATED IT!
- Ocean's Eleven: I thought it was pretty stupid.
- High School Musical: My swears will be censored out....
I'm with you on hating musicals; if a story needs songs and dances to support its plot, then it can't be too strong of a plot to begin with.
"West Side Story" is a musical whose claim to fame is its similarity to Romeo And Juliet. The entire thing disgusted me and my face hurt from all the scowling I did as I sat through it.
I also hated the movie "13" which has the most confusing and irrelavant ending ever.
Thank you for helping me get all of that off my chest and I hope you find someone with similar tastes. ^-^

I would say that you are alone It's a Wonderful Life, Remember the Titans, and High School Musical. At least I know one place that you will not be alone on it, if you hated HIgh School Musical, and that is the Web Site You Tube, I see that a bunch of other people there, that claim to hate the movie are there. I can't remember if I have seen Grease, but I haven't seen the other movies, and I know that the Sound of Music got a lot of good reviews. And most of the movies are muscials, Remember the Titans (isn't a musical), even through they do have music in it, and the Titan players like to sing without any music at all. So I don't know what your excuse is for hating Remember the Titans, or Miracle on 34 Street, It's a Wonderful Life, or Ocean's Eleven is. And since both Rememer the Titans and High School Musical are Disney films, you might want to stay away from musicals and Disney. And maybe even classic movies as well.

I'm not fond of musicals. I liked It's a Wonderful Life and Miracle of 34th Street. I haven't seen Remember the Titans nor have I seen High School Musical (and I don't want to). I tried to watch Ocean's Eleven but that crap was boring.

High School Musical - GAY, GAY, GAY. I lost my dignity watching it. Worst TV movie I've seen in my life. These "be yourself" family films are getting old
Ocean's 11 - I didn't really hate it. I just don't enjoy dry humor. If you thought the first was bad wait til you see Ocean's 12.
Remember the Titans - I don't really like sports movies at all so that's not for me to say
Miracles on 34th Street - I tried to watch that a million times when I was little but I got so bored
It's a Wonderful Life - I WANT to kiss you for saying that. Now I know I'm not the only person who thinks It's a Wonderful Life is a tedious, boring, stressful movie. My dad thinks its one of the best movies ever but everytime he watches it he falls asleep. I have yet to see him watch the ending
I've never seen Grease or Sound of Music

YES. Just kiddind, I thought High School Musical was so amateurish.... as for Miracle on 34th street, if you are talking about the original, I will strongly disagree. The Sound of Music was wonderful, but at this time (day and age) it has antiquated itself..... It's a Wonderful Life, stilla Classic.

I don't like musicals either. They get on my nerves really badly. It did like Miracle on 34th Street and Remember the Titans, and Ocean's Eleven. The rest were waaaaay too sugary. If I wanted to get my son to hurry up and pick a movie in the video store, I would threaten him with a musical.
Oh, yeah, two exceptions, "Cinderella" with Leslie Ann Warren that came out in the sixties and "White Christmas" with Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye.
"Ten minutes ago I met you and we murmured our how do you dos, my head started ringing, you gave me the feeling the room had no ceiling or floor." Lyrics from one of the songs in "Cinderella". This does happen when you meet the right man.

I don't understand the popularity of High School Musical. The acting is subpar, the music would only be good if you weren't introduced yet to a wide range of music, and the general storyline is generic. People think it's some great cinematic work of art when it's actually a Disney made-for-TV movie.

It's okay to hate musicals and there are a lot of people that do. I'm not sure where Ocean's Eleven fits into the equation though.
