And why?

I have two.

Kat Bjelland [Babes in Toyland/Katastophy Wife]
- She's amazing. Full of energy. Excellent gritty, emotional vocals. Stage presence that could knock any man off the stage.

Debbie Harry [Blondie]
- She was so cool, seems a bit past it now that she's older though. But since i was young[er] i just always thought she was excellent.

RQ.

Debbie Harry--> same reasons as you
Joan Jett-->tough guy who didn't take no for an answer
Amy Lee-->amazing voice
Hayley (Paramore)-->great voice, pretty girl who doesn't mind hangin out w/ a bunch of dudes and wearing crazy clothes
Stacy (Flyleaf)-->lots of energy, not afraid to scream
PJ Harvey-->hard core, tough guy yet she still has a feminine voice that she doesn't try to disavow
Karen O-->not a great voice but she has fun w/ it
(sing from the donnas, can't remember her name)-->tough guy w/ a feminine voice that she realizes is feminine and works w/, not afraid to cover topics that dudes usually do
Janis Joplin (i know she was really a solo artist but she still rocks)

1. Ann Wilson(Heart). In the 70's, she went all-out with an almost primal energy. Too toned down by the mid-80's for my tastes.

2. Another vote for Debbie Harry. I've worn out at least two copies of Blondie's "Parallel Lines" over the years.

Dusty Springfield, She was with The Springfield's. Fancied her from when i was about 8 years old.

Judith Durham, she was with The Seekers. What a woman.

Chrissie Hinds, she was with The Pretenders. Always fancied her.

Toyah Wilcox, i know shes not strictly in this category but still gorgeous and always was. Such energy.

Kerry Katona, when she was with Atomic Kitten. A right little raver....

Heidi from the Sugababes, absolutely gorgeous.

Adrienne Corr of the Corrs, love the Irish

Last but not least, the little leather bombshell that was and is Suzi Quattro. You;d have to be mad not to fancy her.

Ohhhh...hard to pick just 2!

Stevie Nicks - I just love her voice and think she's a great songwriter...mystical and lyrical. She has amazing energy in concert!

Annie Lennox has THE most amazing voice...can be low and gritty or high without being annoying. She is also a great songwriter, plus she's beautiful!

But runners up would be Chrissie Hynde, Debbie Harry, and Martha Davis

Kathleen Hanna (Bikini Kill and Le Tigre)
-Pure passion and intensity and no BS. She lives and breathes every thing she writes/sings about. A true rebel girl.

Beth Ditto (The Gossip)
-The best voice I have ever heard. Soul, punk and disco funk all rolled into one amazing performer. She is an icon.
