Having a baby at any age can mess up your body! If you mean internally, it all depends on the stage of development of the mother but a good obgyn and fantastic pre-natal care would help tremendously. If you mean externally, as with regards to stretch marks and weight gain, look to your family. If they have stretch marks you probably will as well. I do think 14 is too young to have a baby but I'm sure you know that!

It will mess up your mind more than your body. Anyone having a baby at 14 (whether your the pregnant one or the boy who made the pregnant one) should seek professional counseling for help in a condensed course in psychological maturity. Basically tell you how to grow up and the incentive to grow up is the little life that is going to be your job for the next 18 years. Your body can recover quite nicely actually, because you are regenerating tissue cells faster than the cells are dying. If the prenatal vitamins are too harsh, (because they are meant for adults) then take an iron fortified children's chewable and watch what is eaten VERY carefully. The fact that TWO children are using the same body to grow, can confuse how much and what to eat.

The keys to pregnancy at any age: Eat nutritive food, stay active, but take breaks often (every hour during moderate activity:example of moderate is fast walking (no run) vaccuming, gardening, playing badmitton) and get at least 8 1/2 hours a sleep a night with a 1 hour nap in the early afternoon (1 or 2 pm)

Well first off, that is a very young age to be having children. Or even thinking about it. If you live with your parents, they have the right to make decisions for you. I had my son when I was 21. Granted that was young for me, but I was already engaged and had my own life. Today I am still with my husband. But to answer your question, I don't think having children will mess up your body as long as you take care of yourself while you're pregnant and after you give birth. Eat healthy foods and make sure to get exercise. I gained 40 pounds while pregnant but I lost it all and then some. I live a very active lifestyle and work outside of my home. But be sure you put on Cocoa Butter while getting bigger during pregnancy. That was my mistake with not keeping up with it and I have a few stretch marks. Good luck.

Having a child before you are fully grown yourself can mess up your body - sometimes one of your organs does not finish growing properly, sometimes your uterus gets damaged, sometimes things can get so stretched or pushed so far out of the way that they get ripped and don't heal properly.

When people use to marry and have children at 12-15 there were a lot of mothers that died, because there bodies were not really ready to be pregnant and deliver and there bodies could ot handle it.

Although prenatal care is better these days, the risk to a teens body is still just as high as it was back then.

no, but having a baby at age 14 is very very young. How would you support that child? There is a lot to consider when having a child, a lot you dont even know about until you have become a parent.

What do you mean when you say mess up your body? If you're implying causing you physical harm, the chances are there, but not very high. If you're implying the things typical 14 worry about...stretch marks, saggy boobs, big hips...etc, then it doesn't matter what age you have them. Having kids does a number on you.

at a younger age, your body recovers much better and faster than having a baby at an older age. i was 17 when i had my first child, and i lost all my baby weight in a matter of a couple months.

You can survive it and rally back to normal quicker. But if you're not careful it will deplete your body in such a way that you cannot grow correctly. You have to be careful to eat right and take prenatals while pregnant and after.
