I'm sorry, but if you are still bleeding the least bit, the only way to go swimming is with the use of a tampon. Contrary to popular belief, blood flow doesn't slow down or stop while in water.
...
It amazes me that women are still telling others that swimming or bathing will stop the flow of your period.
"Another glaring misconception is that women should not bathe during their entire period — an age old theory handed down to women by their mothers or other elderly women. Perhaps women believed that bathing disrupted the menstrual flow but this is entirely untrue. “Bathing does not affect the menstrual period at all..."

I sure wouldn't. Not if your not going to use a tampon. What if you start bleeding? With water the blood and water mixxed could run down your leg.... Try the very tiny tampons for light days. use the kind that are in a plastic applicator or a stick. My stepdaughter couldn't use tampons until I gave her the kind with the applicator. She learned with those and later went to the other.

I would use a light tampon. You can't even feel them if you inserted it right, and they make a slender version if it feels too big. The light day ones are very small, and might be perfect if you are just at the end of your period. I would give it another try rather than risk embarassment.

You have a wear a tampon. The exercise might make it heavier. WATER DOES NOT STOP A PERIOD! If you are going to go swimming you HAVE to wear a tampon (or one of those menstrual cups-but it you don't like tampons, then you won't like them either)

Yea, that's fine... Usually you won't get your period in the water because of teh pressure... And there are also some waterproof pads. Or maybe u know just the slips? But, you should wear some swimming shorts all the time... Also, maybe a bikini won't be a good idea... But hey, I went to a water park in the middle of my cycle and everything was fine...
gd luck!

yes you can go swimming. if you are very light there is no need to be concerned. swimming is not really forbidden when having your period, just an old wives tale. I never used tampon as a teen.
