Yes, in the way that we become immune to the impact of
violence when it becomes an obiquitous part of our lives
through media and games. It shows that it is an acceptable
part of life on some level. Little kids get squirt GUNS...
toy guns are on every shelf. Video games are so packed
with violence without personal consequences that anybody
who is already psychotic, confused or alienated from
society sees this as a solution to their problelms. Parents
that are too stupid or too busy to pay attention to what
their kids are watching or doing, allow them to keep playing
or watching this kind of very dangerous imput...under the
excuse that "it's just a toy or game...it's not real"....but it is real
to many immature kids or even adults who don't know the difference. The media panders to whatever will bring in
the revenue and violence sells. We have really stretched
the "freedom of speech" thing to it's bitter end here.
