Can you please explain this to me...
How would my mom "just know" that I'm gay?

Women in general seem to have an extra sense towards emotions and behaviour. Mothers are a step above everyone else because of their natural female instincts but also because of raising their children - they develop a further instinct when she becomes a mother. A mother is always the one who sees more than her husband/the father because she was the one who gave birth, she raised the child, defended it and she knows and senses the personality and character of her child. Combine this with her already natural instincts and senses and you have what you are talking about. They "just know."

By observation!! She has watched you grow up, she sees how you act and react to certain things. They know a long time before you even know!! This is not always the case, but in most cases the mothers have had an idea for awhile, before you tell them about it. Hopefully they still love you all the same!

Because we moms have been watching you since the day you were born. All the little odds and ends that others see a little bit here and there, we see as a whole!

Moms tend to pay close attention to little things about their children - what makes them happy and what makes them sad. I think dads can, too, but moms usually spend more time just being with their kids than dads do. Dads usually do THINGS with their kids rather than just hang out with them and talk.

You don't get old by being a fool. Your mom watches you as you grow up, and has a pretty good instinct of what's going on. Best of luck to you.

She pays more attention to you than anything... mom's especially know if they have a daughter. I think only a mom can answer this question.

She was there for your first smile, your first words, your first steps. She taught you how to button your shirt, zip your pants, tie your shoes. She was there the first time you succeeded and the first time you failed. She knows what makes you laugh and what makes you cry.

No one will ever know you better, even if you don't realize it yet. She just knows.

i don't know dude, i'm a dad, but you sure are right. Mom's just seem to know - lots of things about us actually.

There was a great county song in the 90s about it.

Mama knows.

"Even when you think it doesn't show......
mama knows."

talks about his first cigarette, his first taste of love, etc.

Beautiful song, even if you don't like country music.

Picking up on small things you do, or the way you react to things.
My parents didnt ever pick up on it, but one of my friend's mums apprently thought I was gay because of the way I was sitting one day (like 5 years before I knew for sure).
