Bin Laden is following the Koran. Muslims must give their enemy a chance to convert before attacking them. This tape could be an indication that his group is preparing for another attack on U.S. soil.

This request by bin Laden should confirm that this is a religious war, not a war on terror. Bin Laden's goal all along was to get all countries to be Islam and he doesn't like it that there are too many Christians in this world and he thinks we all should be of his faith. He just doesn't seem to understand that we have a right to choose what religion we practice and he does not have the right to threaten us with violence if we do not choose to convert to Islam faith. He said, in his most recent video that the war in Iraq will end immediately if we all convert to Islam faith, so if that doesn't say it's a religious war then I don't know what does. For those of us who were not born into the Islamic faith, a conversion to it would have to be something you firmly believed in and wanted to do. There are two things that should NEVER be the base for war and they are politics and religion, just like going to a party, the quickest way to ruin a good time is to start talking about politics and religion. Bin Laden is like a little kid telling everyone that his is better, we say no it's not, he says yes it is and I will fight you to the death to prove it and when you become so weak from all the fighting, you will give in and see things my way.....the sad thing is that he's not doing this with a small group, as it used to be, he's taken it global, but it's not going to work. We should not be involved in a holy war.

The conversion of westerners to Islam is one of two main goals of the islamists. Those who will convert are either so out of touch with reality that they genuinely think it's a good idea, or those who already hate their own country so much that they see conversion as a route to becoming terrorists themselves in order to get back at their parents, their teachers, the police who arrested them, the girls who snubbed them, the school kids who laughed at them, or the clique they wanted to belong to, but who recognized them as losers and wouldn't let them in. That's just the sort of people bin Laden is looking for, the kind of young person with a small life and no prospects who can easily be sold on the attractiveness of obtaining 70 virgins as soon as he blows up some of those people he already hates.

I thought he was nuts but after reading what he said, I believe he may be more enlightened than most of us. Besides the converting part I think he was right about everything.
