Well I can't parrot back what you wrote as an answer you'd like, so I may disappoint you by writing my own answer, which is that death doesn't matter because it's only death of a body.

The spirit, or perhaps what you're calling matter and energy, is eternal. It was before me and it will be after me. Me as a body here now, that is. I like it here now and am not yet calling it a "good day to die" (few are)--just saying I think spirit "rules" the day, and night, and eternity, simply by its pure existence, kind of like the existence of pure math.

Spirit is in all living things, in my belief system and so it is everywhere all the time. Makes me more comfortable actually, in a closer walk with me, as an old spiritual song goes. It's a touchstone and foundation of my life now. Not religion, but spirituality.

And you're welcome, by the way. Thanks for your manners.

because dying is relinquishing yourself from a long hard life. When you die you go into everlasting peace.

You've just answered your own question.

Of course, the matter and energy don't die, but the lifeform you are does. Once you are no longer alive, you can't sense, love, or think. So, sensually, we die, but physically, we don't.

Because Jesus the Nazarene was crucified, died, and was buried, then was raised on the third day, thereby defeating death and assuring eternal life in the presence of God for those who believe.
