I think that is only a lie. The amount is just too good to be true.

yahoo does not give out awards and if you are in the US it would be in $
this is a old scam if you answer it they will want money for taxes or other fees. and if you send the money you will never hear from them again.
go to the "search for questions" box at the top of this page and type in "yahoo awards center" and hit search.

Igore it, the only awards you get from Yahoo is that points that you get for having the best answer, nothing else.
