This is a complex issue. For a long time I have discounted the conspiracy theorists, but I can find no other logical explanation for what I see occurring.

America stands for freedom, and by that I mean the freedom to express one's own opinion and the pursuit of happiness. There are people in high political places (in the US and elsewhere) who hate the fact that America has the military and political power to ensure its freedom and that of its close allies. America is a type of default United Nations: When the UN takes the moral low road (usually by complacency), the US, at times when it is able, takes the moral high ground and steps up to the plate, figuratively, and usually brings a lot of like-minded nations onboard as well. A good example of that would be the Berlin air lift, and the US's continued military posturing that has prevented China from invading Taiwan---after the UN (and even the US under Jimmy Carter) has all but politically flushed the future of a free Taiwan down the toilet.

I am not here to state that the US is the moral paragon of virtue. My country has done many selfish and irresponsible things in world politics, but when I look at the total influence, it is positive and sets precedence for peace and the rule of law to solve disputes.

What are often referred to as "Globalists" are those people who really don't care about freedom and the rule of law for the common man / woman. These people are elitists and don't care how much the world suffers as long as they have secure ways of making money. Essentially, the rest of us can live like slaves in squalor and poverty while the globalists enjoy ruling over us. That is why these people want America brought to its knees---a weakling third-world country that will not be able to stop their maniacal plans to control the world.

Those people have a firm hold on the UN and over the years managed to acquire and hold key positions of power in the US. They have established associations (too many to list them all here) that promote their one-world globalist agenda.

The Globalists want to bankrupt the US, so that it will no longer be able to thwart their plans for world domination.

The Globalists overwhelmingly control the UN and are reaching near, if not already, majority control of the US through their institutions run by people who subscribe to their goals. Such institutions are the World Bank, The Federal Reserve, major world banks, world corporations, and of course world governments, just to name a few.

One of the best ways to bankrupt the US (in addition to the war we're pumping money into, money we don't have), is eliminate manufacturing in the country to the extent that we're overwhelmingly devoted to service jobs.

Eventually, we will not be able to supply even the parts for our own ships, planes, tanks, et cetera. No doubt, the steel used in construction of those items made in the US in many cases has come for foreign suppliers. If the US is in an unpopular war and we need more spare parts, those nations just may say, "No," if they don't agree with us. At which point it would be considerably more difficult, if not impossible, to defend ourselves.

Another means to this end is too bring large amounts of immigrants (in this case illegal ones) into the country. This will impose great stress on our institutions--hospitals to give free health care, schools to be built, roads to be expanded and repaired, and all other forms of infrastructure to be upgraded and expanded to accommodate the increase in population.

The US population has grown gradually, and the gov't was able to pay for all the increases in infrastructure through taxes and regulation of private industries (e.g., telecommunications companies). Now with the high influx of illegal immigration (currently stated as 12, 000,000), we are headed to a point in 5-10 years that we would have an increase in population of 84, 000,000, created by illegal immigration alone. I base this figure on the fact that 12,000,000 illegal immigrants are likely to produce an additional 7 children in 5-10 years based on current historical societal and cultural trends.

The US population is currently at about 300,000,000. We cannot have an increase by approx. 1/3 in the next 10 years and still remain a 1st world nation. Even if all those immigrants where educated PhDs, we wouldn't have enough jobs for them, nor would we be able to sustain our current levels of infrastructure to meet the additional demands.

Common sense tells me that being able to buy a microwave at Wal-Mart for $45 dollars (as opposed to $100 10 years ago) has not increased the quality of my life. It has put Americans out of a job---Americans that will need my tax money to become retrained, who will earn less money at their new jobs than at their previous one. Some of those will resort to crime, neglect their children, and the taxpayer will have to pay for that too. I'm sure the additional taxes that it will require to help those people to rebuild their lives, after losing their jobs, will be far more than the additional $55 I would have to pay for a microwave manufactured in the US as opposed to one made in China.

Lastly, most of the people on this ship-American-factory-jobs-overseas bandwagon are not tied into the Globalists or their philosophy; they are in it sheerly for greed. NBC News reported that It cost around $1.98 to make a Barbie in China that is sold in the US for $19.00. If they made it in the US, it would cost maybe $7.00 to make. The manufacturers and retailers are addicted to those 500%+ mark-ups like a crack baby is addicted to crack--All they care about is from where and when their next fix will come.

These aren't pleasant thoughts, but I think it is an accurate assessment of the current situation. No political party will stop it. They're too drunk on power and greed to see the cliff ahead that they are about to plunge us all over.

God bless America--May she rest in peace.

What most people fail to see is the fact that Corporate America has become Global America. CA has their tentacles all over the world. The don't care if it is the dollar, the yen,the mark or whatever currency of the country they have expanded into. For the prospect of selling the have migrated to the more advance & prosperous countries. For the actual manufacturing of their products the has moved to the third world & poorer countries. CHEAP labor. They could care less that the hard work of the American people is what made them very, very wealthy. So wealthy, in fact, that they can spend millions to purchase your representative & mine. Make no mistake, our government made it possible for CA to morph into Global America. Passed tax reform to make it beneficial for them to expand all over the world, offshore tax incentives, low tariffs for their products to be shipped back to the US, to name a few. NAFTA,CAFTA and all the trade agreements that have been enacted have all been detrimental to Americas interest, but Corporate America has benefited by the agreements. Those trade agreements were written by CA, for CA. Not for the American people. Like the bought sheep they are, congress fell all over themselves to please their masters(CA) to insure the steady flow of money from the coporation com[plex. Now we have out sourcing, CA
has found a way to move Americas jobs without the expense of moving their assets. Again, nothing but rehtoric from congress( just enough to keep their constiuents quiet) about this newest move by Global America. Last, the ability of the Mexican trucking industry to invade the US. This is all about money. money, money. money. Money has become our god. We only pay lip service to the God above!

All this was made possible by the ever popular Bill Clinton and his signing of the now world famous NAFTA agreement. I know it's alot easier to blame the Bush administration, but facts are facts. The fact that Hillary is blaming Bush for what is happening in the economic world suprises me. She would have been one of the first to know that Slick Willy was about to sell out the American worker.

You have very astute answers in here.
Our jobs went out long ago thru' Clinton and Bush doesn't care.
Why isn't someone opening a "Made in America" shop? We could work there and shop there.

You have not been paying attention. Right now, in the US there are more people working than ever before. The unemployment rate is as low as it can realistically go. Average wages are higher than they have ever been. What more do you want?

Jobs are lost to overseas competitors because their wages are lower. Are you willing to work for 50 cents an hour? I don't think so.

Politician have no control over international markets.
